Our material aluminium is and will remain a material of the future, because it can contribute to a resource-neutral, sustainable and liveable world.

To ensure that industry and science continue to improve aluminium together, both sectors have been working successfully together for years in the Aluminium Expert Committee of the Deutschen Gesellschaft für Materialkunde (German Materials Society DGM e.V.)

We are represented there by Carmen Schäfer (Head of Strategic Development); she is the deputy head of this committee and, along with Blanka Lenczowski (Airbus), is organising this year's central meeting on 11/12 October of the members at Airbus in Ottobrunn (D).

Along with the main topic of 'electric flying', other issues essential to our industry will be presented and discussed, including: Green Aluminium, Life Cycle Assessments, Additive Manufacturing and Digitalisation.
