“Mobility will continue to be an essential element of our economy, but it will change” was the exciting statement with which Dr. Thomas Hueck, Chief Economist at Bosch, recently began a presentation for the managers of Alupress AG.

Bosch and Alupress have been working together successfully for many years. We were therefore very delighted that Dr. Thomas Hueck accepted our invitation to Brixen/South Tyrol and gave a keynote speech on the topic “From the automotive - to the mobility industry: How technologies and new players are changing the structure of industry”. 

The automotive industry is facing a formative transformation, driven by trends such as electrification, autonomous driving and sustainability. In particular, software solutions and the associated increase in electronic components are at the center of further automotive developments – f. ex. components for heat dissipation or sensor systems. 

To be successful in this new era, companies must remain agile, drive innovation and adapt their business models. At Alupress, for example, we have been involved in cooling solutions for heat dissipation from electronic assemblies (power electronics) for quite some time. 

It is a time of great opportunities, but also challenges, in which the right focus will be the key to success in the new era of mobility.
