Overview:
Objective of quality engineer is to work closely with production and project teams, using standard quality tools, the impeccable quality according to customer requirements, manufactured and delivered.
Experience:
• Evaluation of Quality Data by using statistical methods
• Quality Planning in process development phase
• Handling of customer complaints by the use of problem solving tools.
• Management of root cause analysis in teams
• Organization and management of FMEA meetings in the phase of process development and serial production
• Test planning, including the coordination, creation and development of test plans and methods
• Development of control plans and work instructions and other quality related documents.
• Preparation and Conduct of internal and external audits
• Processing of supplier issues, quality review of returned products.
• Training of staff in quality matters.
• Preparation of Feasibility Studies
• Process optimization of current Production
• Ongoing support of systematic analysis of all technical manufacturing processes
• Cause Detection for Quality Problems in serial manufacturing
Checking of feasibility in the acquisition phase in cooperation with KAM and PM
• Evaluation of Q-requirements in the drawings
• Participation in technical discussions with customer (SCR, TLG, etc.)
• Check of the sampling requirements of the customer in collaboration with the Product Manager and Metrology.
• Participation and cooperation in the project kick-off for new projects
• Structured and planned transfer of the project to the QPL
• Participation in the team meetings in the project phase
• Customer support within the framework of project work and maintenance of the customer systems
• Clarification of Q-topics with the customer within the framework of the project
• Processing of Q-complaints in the project phase
• Q-side customer support within the framework of project work and maintenance of the customer systems
• Participation in the definition of test requirements (in coordination with QPL and gauge management, if necessary)
• Participation in the creation of specifications for test devices (with gauge management)
• Accompanying customer visits in the acquisition process
• Support during customer R@R`s (2-day production, process acceptance test, etc.)
• Contract verification in cooperation with the contract team
• Transfer the project in the series (interface with QPL resp. metrology)
• Information of the customer about process changes or rather introduction of new processes

Participation in the project kick-off for new projects

• Processing of Q-complaints analog to the series, in coordination with AQP Condition: conditional approvals for all deliveries before PPAP release are required.
• Participation in the definition of special characteristics
• Check of the “Important characteristic list” (ICL) of customer in collaboration with AQP and Product Manager.
• Moderation of internal FMEAs
• Preparation of the quality planning documents (CP, inspection instructions, etc.)
• Definition of test requirements
• Definition of requirements for the approval of test equipment
• Participation in approvals of test systems and devices in cooperation with the Project Manager and Gauge Manager
• Create control plan
• Participation on customer R@R
• Definition of the test equipment for the series
• Maintain of customer complaints into the FMEA, evaluation and (if necessary) planning of team meeting
• Definition of quality relevant acceptance criteria as capability indices, R&R Indices and zero-error strategy
• Collaboration in the final inspection of the project task of the equipment at Alupress
• Clearance, checking and demanding of sampling inquires of new processes/equipment
• Collaboration in the production of specification sheets of equipment
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field; foreign equivalent accepted; and 24 months related experience as Quality Engineer.
Note: The 24 months of related experience must have included FMEA for both process development and serial production in the automotive component manufacturing industry.

The machining & assembly production manager is responsible for supplying the customer with good parts on time. He assures that his staff is well trained, motivated and follow the defined procedures. He takes care of the continuous improvement to improve the quality (scrap) and productivity.
He is responsible for the achievement of the goals in the machining & assembly department.
- Lead/inform/train the employees within the machining & assembly department
- Coach the direct reporting employees (shift leader)
- Assure that all policies and procedures (safety, quality…) are respected and hold people accountable
- Conduct employee performance reviews
- Schedule and conduct plant meetings
- Responsible for on-time and efficient production in coordination with the supporting departments (Planning & Logistics, Maintenance, Quality)
- Optimization of quality control within production department
- Analyze downtime, implement improvements, increase the OEE
- Goal achievement (OEE, scrap…)
- Maintain a clean and safe production floor, improve 5S system.
- Assure compliance with approved methods and quality standards.
- Support launch of new customer projects

Directs and oversees the Alupress LLC manufacturing processes in respective shift. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in manufacturing. Plans and designs methods to improve efficiency in production. Optimizes production, improves material flow within the department.
Achieves production objectives with regards to personnel, material, capacity, equipment efficiency and scrap rate
- Preparation of operation schedules in cooperation with planning and logistics and coordination of manufacturing activities to ensure production, delivery and quality meets specifications.
- Optimization of production through improved material flow, efficient utilization of available capacity and personal and reduction of scrap.
- Responsible for achievement of company goals with regards to First Time Quality, Internal Delivery, Productivity, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Housekeeping, Headcount, Scrap and Overtime. This includes tracking, monitoring charts and assessing, developing and following through with necessary action plans.
- Optimization of quality controls within production department.
- Responsible for 5S system in the manufacturing area.
- Assures compliance with approved methods and quality standards.
- Supervises the day-to-day operations and people in the areas of safety, quality, efficiency, teamwork and housekeeping.
- Set-up of production equipment and production cells to meet customer timing and quality
- Training of operators on existing and new production systems
- Coordinates appropriate staffing levels including hiring and/or layoff situations. This includes supporting data to affect staffing increases/reductions.
- Has the authorization to stop production to avoid manufacturing of defective or potentially defective components.
- Maintain a high level of employee satisfaction.
- Implementation of 5S program in production area.
- Works with other departments such as Materials, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, Sales & Engineering, Purchasing, etc.
- Supports planning of the layout of equipment, workflow, manufacturing methods, and workforce utilization.
- Ensure material availability to secure uninterrupted material flow to machines
- Follow pre-validation process of different cavities/molds to avoid production interruption
- Check with shift technician process release, in timely manner, for production release, validate all machines are released per Checklist
